All vacuum tubes purchased from Black Swamp Audio are guaranteed to be fully functional.
Tubes not meeting your satisfaction may be returned within 30 days from the shipping date for credit, refund or exchange.
This guarantee includes "previously owned" as well as new old stock (NOS). "Sweep", "horizontal output" or "transmitter final" vacuum tubes are limited to a 10 day guarantee.
Tube damage caused by operation outside of specifications (abuse) are NOT covered. Shipping damage to merchandise, including breakage, may be claimed only if you purchased shipping insurance. Breakage outside of shipping is not covered. We must be notified within three days of delivery of any shipping damage, or your claim may be denied. We underwrite shipping insurance on parcels valued up to $100.00, and parcels valued at $100.01 and over are insured by the carrier if insurance is purchased by the consumer. All tubes are tested at time of packing, therefore a Dead On Arrival tube is considered shipping damage. SHIPPING INSURANCE IS STRONGLY SUGGESTED. We cannot be responsible for late, lost, misdirected, or damaged shipments. It is the buyers responsibility to check or test tubes immediately and notify us of any problems within the warranty period. Warranty does not extend beyond the original owner for any reason.

Any tubes returned that are fully functional and pass all transconductance, emission, gas, shorts, and continuity tests are NOT considered defective. These tubes are still guaranteed under this Purchase Protection Guarantee. If you return any non-defective tubes (if you don’t like them for some reason), we may elect to refund your purchase price rather than replace these tubes.
Incorrect bias settings can ruin a good tube very quickly. If your amp or transmitter was biased for an old set of tubes, it is very important you reset the bias (or neutralization on a transmitter output) adjustment. We will NOT refund or replace tubes damaged in this manner. Consult a repair shop or technician if you do not know how to adjust bias yourself. Returned audio or transmitter power output tubes that test low emission will be assumed to have been damaged by incorrect bias, since every tube we sell tests "good" for emission at time of shipping.
Non-defective tubes returned that total over $125 US Dollars are subject to a 15% restocking/testing fee. This fee is oftentimes waived (or reduced) at our discretion.
Our guarantee represents the consumer’s exclusive remedy for a defective product. Black Swamp Audio expressly disclaims all other warranties, express or implied, for the products we carry. Black Swamp Audio shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential damages, including, but not limited to, personal injury or loss of income, damage to equipment, property damage, or other losses arising out of the purchase or use of a product we sell. In no event shall our liability exceed the price you paid for the product.

Return Policy
Your business and trust is important to me, so, every tube we sell is tested just prior to shipping. If, within 30 days, you are not happy with your purchase for any reason, please return the tube(s) to Black Swamp Audio. Include your name, address and the purchase price, or a copy of your original invoice/packing sheet. Tubes being returned for reasons other than defective MUST still test good, have the same appearance and box as when shipped, and otherwise be undamaged or no refund will be issued. Orders over $125.00 are possibly subject to a 15% restocking fee if returned for reasons other than defective. Shipping charges are NOT included in any refund, exchange, or credit transaction under this guarantee. All refunds or credit issued will be in US Dollars.
INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS: All cash refunds will be in US Dollars via an International Postal Money Order. This will be sent via registered air mail, with return receipt. If tubes are refunded for reasons OTHER than defective, the postal charges for these delivery services will be deducted from your refund. This is a protective measure for both of us, and insures your refund arrives quickly and safely.
If a tube shape (envelope/bulb) specification is not made, ANY shape may be provided, depending upon our stock. Tubes returned for reason of "wrong shape sent", where no style was specified in the order, will be subject to a $2.50 per tube restocking fee, plus shipping charges for the replacement tube(s). Tubes returned because they did not test as expected in your tester are considered non-defective. We use a professionally calibrated Hickok 539C tube tester on every tube prior to shipping. All tube testers have their advantages and disadvantages – the Hickok 539C has many of the former.
All the above includes tubes purchased on the www.blackswampaudio.com website, Ebay, Audiogon and other on-line resources utilized to market our vacuum tubes.
A final note: Most of the above is to protect Black Swamp Audio from the 0.5% of the population that want something for nothing. If you have sued McDonalds over making hot coffee or returned a TV you spilt pop on, read the above very carefully. Black Swamp Audio strives to meet or exceed customer expectations. We will at our discretion; waive the restocking fee, share shipping expenses, or allow for a trial of a different brand in many circumstances.
